Harvey J. Thal,
Chairman and CEO
Mr. Thal is Chariman and CEO of Royop. A founding shareholder of Royop, he was previously President and a director of Royal West Equities Ltd. since 1990, after holding the office of Executive Vice President and Director of a related company from 1986 to 1990. He's been involved in development of numerous shopping centres and mixed use projects throughout Western Canada. Mr. Thal graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1972, receiving his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Urban Land Economics and Finance.

Brian Kowall,
Vice Chairman
A founding member of Royop, Mr. Kowall was previously Vice President of Royop Properties Corporation. He held that position with predecessor companies to Royop Development Corporation from 1987. Since 1978, Mr. Kowall has been involved in property management and leasing of over 5 million square feet of power centres, enclosed malls, strip shopping centres and other commercial, industrial, residential and mixed use projects in western Canada. Mr. Kowall received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1978 and his Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation in 1984 and is a licensed Real Estate Broker.

Melvin G. Foht,
President & COO
As a founding shareholder of Royop, Mr. Foht headed the development division developing numerous shopping centers throughout western Canada. Prior to joining Royop Properties in January 1998, Mr. Foht was Vice President, Alberta for Penreal Advisors Ltd., a position he held since 1991. In this role he was responsible for operating of the company including the development, acquisition and management of commercial real estate. From 1988 to 1991, he was Development Manger for Penreal in Vancouver where he developed a number of suburban office projects. Mr. Foht holds an MBA degree from the University of Calgary.
