Royop Development Corporation and its predecessor companies have been involved in the development of retail centers in Western Canada for over forty years. Royop brought together some of the most experienced and entrepreneurial real estate executives in Canada, most notably, Morris Kowall. As president of Morris Kowall and Associates he helped to form Royal West Equities Limited and then Royop Properties Corporation and became chairman of the board for both companies. Morris was involved in Real Estate industry for over 50 years with industry leaders such as Trizec Corp and dealt with  some of the major national tenants of the day such as Woolco, Safeway, the Bay and Eatons.  Morris has overseen the development of many premier projects including Marlborough Mall (Calgary) , Unicity Mall (Winnipeg), Capilano Mall (Edmonton), and Northgate Mall (Regina), the first enclosed mall in Calgary, Westbrook Mall; the tallest building in Edmonton at the time, CN Tower; and Calgary’s first high-rise luxury condominium, Roxboro House.
